So I let myself get talked into trying this early bird crit race in Freamont. I wasn't exactly sure I wanted to turn to the dark side... but I have to say it got under my skin, literally.
Drove all over Fremont looking for this place and when we found it I was already missing the mentoring thing before the race.
Learned how to take a few hard turns while goin single file and then by two's,...three's, and just switching.
That part alone helped allot, eased the worries I had about goin into a tight corner while in the pack.
All was tons'o'fun until the third guy from the front flatted, I was the 10th from the top and just couldn't do anything to avoid it. Oh well I should be thankful I just had a scratch.
Now I just need to spend even more munies to get my bike back up to working order.....iguess this is one of the perk of working in the industry?
i guess in the end its all the same. if you don't make muney ya can't spend muney =o(
On a life note I love my job but not who I work for, its the kind of place where everyone is far too racist and only concerned about keeping certain ppl out of their little inner circle. I don't ass kiss (because i don't like walking around with brown on my nose) and because of this am unable to progress much further in the company. Keep acquiring more reasponsabilitys with promise of a job upgrade but never comes. I've documented all this and sent e-mails upper management and nothing comes of it....=o(
I'm starting to look for a new job, but wish I could stay in here a bit longer to grow my experience more.
Looking for advice on color schemes, i feel like the red Keo's make it look like a man in high heals.
The Flat black Keo's go with the theme, but perhaps keep the bike too quiet?
Food for thought, if red pedals are installed should I slap on more red?
Red tires, red saddle, red bar tape, or some combination like that?
Armenian Bento,
Very tasty Armenian pizza, think two flour tortillas with really potent red meat sauce in da middo.
Bottom tier, rice wrapped with grape leaves. Next to it is left over rice n veggies. Got Starch?
Brought along a Kinder Egg for my co-worker.
There was tons of stuff I wanted to buy in SF yesterday, but apparently I cant buy shit when I only make enough to pay the bills..... that said, I decided to take pictures of everything I can't buy, instead...
=o( sad sad sad
This was really neat store "Super 7". on Lake St. in Japan town.
So much to look at here.
I did manage to score pillow covers for 4 bucks at the Japanese dollar store.
Made it so i was finally able to get rid of the crappy pillows I had on my couch.
Cut open the old pillows and swapped out the stuffing inside to these new very nice plow covers, really cheap way to spruce up my pad I think!
Curry Bento,
Picked up some curry (among other things) from an SF
Japanese supermarket yesterday,
Went up to see the Time Trials for the tour of California, saw Hincappy and Levi. It was nice to see a number of riders on ritchey stuff!
Tested using my rice mold as an egg mold, the first one exploded. second one was a success, only the face imprint didn't imprint =o(
First tier is mild curry with veggies, and boiled russian oushka's (sp?) with my two failed bear egg molds. Bottom tier is just rice with furikake.
Oh and the second beto box is just sweets. For a few day's i hope, otherwise I may be bouncing off walls the rest of the day.
Rush hour bento,
Slapped this one together in about ten minutes. Just tossed in banana slices with little chocolate shrooms, peanuts (dry roasted and unsalted cause god knows I don't need a heart attack), and some Chinese salty cracker mix (doh), with a few packaged candies.
Bottom Tier, just a PB&J and ham n cheeeez.
These other pics are from my trip down to LBC, my train station, and something I want to build. A solar pwrd bike cyclist.
